Based out of Denver, Colorado, Entropy was founded in August,
2004. Having started as a cover band, Entropy has now ventured
into writing original material with an ear-catching, unique sound.
With Aaron Gallegos (lead vocals), Tony Shortino (guitar, backup
vocals), Joel Brown (drums, backup vocals), and Matt Weigel (bass)
guitar, Entropy’s diverse playing styles include Ska, Punk,
Funk, and Rock.
After
being together for just over one month, Entropy had already put
together 30 covers and performed their first gig, at Lodo’s
Bar and Grill in downtown Denver. Entropy then took things to
the next level by moving out of the basement, and into the recording
studio. In the next seven months, Entropy composed and recorded
fourteen original songs. Dedicating track four – “Ground
Zero” – to the brave soldiers of the US armed forces,
Entropy has sent over five hundred copies of their debut album
“Method of Entropical Madness” to US military bases
around the world. As part of their dedication to our country,
ten percent of the album sales will be donated to the Families
of the Victims of 9/11 Fund.

Musical Influences: Eddie Veder, my sister, my father,

Aaron
Gallegos was born a native to Denver, where he grew up listening
to Run DMC, Fat Boys, Doug E. Fresh…to mention a few.
At ten years old Aaron got on stage for the first time performing
his break-dancing ability and discovered at a young age that
entertaining was where he was most at home. Like many his age,
Aaron’s musical influences changed in the early nineties
when he heard an unknown band out of Seattle with a song called
“Even Flow.” To explore his musical range, he joined
the school choir for four years. After high school, Aaron spent
the next decade expanding his passion for music day-by-day.
In 2004 Aaron experienced what he calls an awakening, inspired
by his older sister, when he decided to start a band.

"Shorty" - Guitar
Hobbies: I enjoy snowboarding & playing guitar.
Also punching cement walls.
Influences:
Dimebag Darrel of Pantera, Jimi Hendrix, Brad Nowell of Sublime,
& Bob Marley. I like every kind of music except COUNTRY.
I
was born August 8th 1978 in Chicago, IL. My grandfather and
father both played guitar so when I was young I used to sneak
and play my dad's guitar. The funny thing was I played it on
my lap! Finally in 1991 I started taking lessons because my
friend Brian and I met a drummer, Jeremy White, and it was time
I stopped playing on my lap. We used to have Psuedo Rock Shows
in Jeremy's basement playing Metallica, Pantera, & Guns
N Roses. I also joined the Jazz band at Highlands Ranch H.S..
When I graduated, I went to the University of Northern CO and
my old band parted ways. Unfortunately, we never joined again
because Jeremy lost a battle with brain cancer. He was a very
dedicated musician and friend, and I miss him.
